Character Council
Telegraph Intermediate began Character Council in 2007 for our 3rd-5th grade students. The purpose of this council is to promote student leadership in our character education program. Elected student representatives work on various committees to create, plan and implement character education activities throughout the school. The Character Council strives to enhance student relationships and promote student involvement.

Character Council consists of 12 representatives, one from each classroom, and is sponsored by Mrs. Rayoum, Miss Clark, and Mrs. Johnson all of which have received certification through the Character Plus program. Meetings are held before school from 8:00-8:30 each Wednesday.

To become a member of Character Council students must complete an application form and turn it in to their homeroom teacher. Each classroom will hold a mini election to select one representative for the council. Parents will need to sign the application form giving their child permission to participate in the elections, since students will be required to attend meetings before school.

We are seeking students who are outgoing, good role models and able to promote core ethical values.

If you are interested in being a part of this awesome opportunity, please obtain an application from your teacher or complete the online form and return it to your homeroom teacher.

Thank you,
Mrs. Holdinghausen
